AAJ & AOL on Outrageous Lawsuits

Quick attention has been brought to a section of America Online’s (AOL) web site entitled "Most Outrageous Lawsuits" which appears in their money and finance section. The article previews current "frivolous lawsuits" throughout the country that could be construed as propaganda.

These lawsuits come from organizations like Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA) and American Tort Reform Association (ATRA). According to the American Association of Justice (AAJ), the purpose of these organizations is to "dismantle the civil justice system and eliminate accountability for corporate negligence."

According to the American Association of Justice (AAJ), AOL is taking advantage of an unsuspecting public by implying that these outrageous lawsuits are news, thus making a case that they, along with other negligent companies, should fall exempt from wrongdoings within our courts.
